It's all Greek to me! // Stygian — The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.245.146.250 (talk) 16:36, 7 August 2003 (UTC)
LOL -- "Greek" is supposed to be synonymous with "international" ;) -Stevertigo 23:25 7 Aug 2003 (UTC)
Yeah, but how could I resist that pun? :P
What about Latin? I think it'd be cool (and scholarly) for Wikipedia to have a Latin motto -- perhaps something like "Scientia est liber"? (I think that means "Knowledge is free"; please correct me if I'm wrong.)
Or perhaps pseudo-Latin: "Weni, Widi, Wiki"?

Actually, that's how weni, widi, wiki, is how VINI VIDI VICI is prounounced. :)

I know. :P // Stygian — The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stygian (talk) 04:51, 8 August 2003 (UTC)
"Veni, vidi, wiki. I came, I saw, I contributed." Though there's that banner ad, "I came, I saw, I clicked," which though doesn't pose copyright problems poses similarity-in-people's-minds problems. Geoffrey —Preceding undated comment added 22:37, 8 August 2003 (UTC).
Geoffrey: The "Weni, Widi, Wiki" (WWW?) was suggested somewhat facetiously. Seriously, I was thinking of something along the lines of "Scientia ad popula" (Knowledge to the People). Again, someone please check my Latin, in case I screwed up. Grazie.

- @Stygian: I'd use the singular, "ad populum". 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 (𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 11:36, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
